Sadly, last evening Monday, June 23rd or early morning Tuesday, June 24th vandals hit our North Shore Community Centre - the dangerous part of it all is the propane tank tipped over and resulting propane leak...could have met disaster if it had exploded. The pictures below include glass broken from a liquor bottle, repairs needed to the ripped off the wall air vent, fixing the propane leak, and destroyed signage.
The repairs will be done but will be an unexpected cost that we all shoulder as a community. Senseless waste, destruction and wanton disregard for public property.
As a Community, please keep watch for such activities and report any information you may have. The RCMP have been called, please contact them if you have any information.
It was an event enjoyed by all that attended. Thank you to our volunteers, the entertainers raved about the food.
Councillor Watts and Councillor Egan participated in the Parks and People beach clean up.
Pictured at the left - Councillor Watts, Lorna and John McDougall, and Councillor Egan. It was a rainy day.
Pictured below garbage picked up on 3 kilometers of beach
A possible beach clean up for Covehead to Grand Tracadie Harbour Beaches. Interested contact Councillor Watts.
Our Water - Waste Water Researcher Maher Ellaz is hard working at summarizing our previous studies into 'plain language' as requested by several residents so that they may better understand what it all means.

In addition, we are taking a fresh look at things and would greatly appreciate your participation in one and possibly a second survey about your knowledge and system.
Please take a few moments to fill out the following survey - no personal information is required.
According to the Election Act and Elections PEI website we need to enumerate our electors in our Municipality.
Please see the qualifications/residence requirements below and then if you are a qualified resident - please check the Ward List of Electors below. If your name isn't on the list and you would like to be enumerated please contact Tracey Allen at 672-1586 with your name and civic address, you may need to provide identification with your address on it - drivers license for example.
Elector - You qualify to vote if you are a full time residence of Community of North Shore (If you live part of the year somewhere else i.e. it is your mailing address then you vote in that municipality) and have lived in the community for at least 6 months.
Please check the list below or come visit the office to see if you are on the 'list' - please don't be offended if you are not on the list - we started with property tax rolls so:
- if you rent, are a senior etc. you are not on the list,
- if you have a mailing address other than a Community of North Shore address, you are likely not list,
- and we all make mistakes, in moving/deleting lines you may have been accidentally dropped, we want everyone who is eligible to vote so check and be sure we 'got it right'!
If you are not on the list posted at the North Shore Community Centre - please call 902-672-1586 or Email email@example.com with your name and address plus phone number and/or email.
Nomination for Councillor - Nomination Form below. You qualify to stand to be nominated for a Councillor position if you are a full time residence of Community of North Shore and have lived in the community for at least 1 year.
We welcome guest bloggers from the community.
