Please find enclosed two posters; both have information on how to keep your water & septic healthy.
- Your Water – Keeping it Well!
- Septic – It’s Spring/Summer – Get Pumped!
We encourage you to test your water for bacteria yearly and test the chemical makeup of your water every three years.
Pick up your test kits for water at Access PEI sites or at the North Shore Community Centre (in the entry way). Deliver the cool, same day samples to PEI Analytical Laboratories at 23 Innovation Way, (off Upton Road, across from the Industrial Park) Charlottetown.
Record Your Water Test Results and you might WIN a prize!!
To assist in ensuring the water in our community remains healthy, we ask that you voluntarily record your test results at www.stanhopecovehead.pe.ca or contact our Community office at (902) 672-1586 or email email@example.com. Such information will help identify any trends that might require further analysis. Your name will be entered into a draw to have your next water sample testing costs covered!
Tourism operators, who rely on private water wells, are required by law to have their water supply tested for the presence of bacteria. This testing must be done every three months, or part thereof, during a calendar year when the tourism establishment is open to guests.
Real Estate Transactions. If you are buying, selling, or re-mortgaging a house, please speak with your lawyer, lending institution, and/or real estate agent. Specific water testing may be required.
To keep your septic system healthy and free from problems with your system or impacts on your water quality – pump your septic system every 3-5 years.
Record Your Septic Pumping Information and you might WIN a prize!!
Record that you tested your system by letting us know at www.stanhopecovehead.pe.ca. We will keep a record and send a reminder to you at year three. This helps ensure that the septic systems in our Community are being effectively maintained. Your name will be entered into a draw to have your next septic pumping costs covered!
