The two day event will include acrylic, watercolour and mixed media paintings as well as original hand-hooked mats and a selection of matted work and cards. Margaret’s paintings focus mainly on still life and landscapes.
“I view my paintings as vibrant and evocative, striving to leave a bit of the story untold so as to resonate with your emotions and memories and leave you to relate to my paintings with your own interpretations.”
Working with wool and linen, she also designs and hand- hooks mats, creating pieces in a primitive style that others may also enjoy. Margaret is one of the group of artists who exhibited their work together for more than ten years in various locations including the P.E.I. Studio, the North Winds Exhibition and then, as artist partners operating Howes Hall Gallery from 2009 to 2013. Now painting and showing in her home studio, Margaret is pleased to show new and familiar work in this weekend event.
